New carcass and compound
To mimic the properties of a tube, a completely new carcass had to be developed during the creation of the Schwalbe One. The new carcass lends an unprecedented supple feel and has a low rolling resistance, while maintaining the same level of puncture resistance. This tyre also has great durability for a high performance tyre, so you'll enjoy your tyres for a long time. Plus, the Addix Race Compound ensures you'll have grip when cornering. This compound is derived from mountain bike tyres and increases grip without increasing rolling resistance.
The RaceGuard anti puncture layer consists of two intersecting layers of nylon. This keeps the tyre from becoming too heavy while still providing good puncture resistance.
Addix Performance Compound
The Addix Performance Rubber compound has an extremely long lifespan and provides an optimal balance of everything that's required of a tyre. This makes this rubber compound universal and widely applicable.

The better choice for 99% of drivers
Wise words, mate!; A no-nonsense tyre, but simply fast whilst offering much greater comfort (32mm in my case, in fact). You might sacrifice a tiny bit of speed on a sprint, but over a long ride you’ll probably be faster because of the comfort. The tyre lasts longer, is less prone to punctures, can take a fair bit of a knock, etc. The real benefit lies in all the other aspects. Plus, it looks brilliant! Black was sold out, but brown was available (32mm). It looks stunning – a lovely shade of brown. Don’t let flashy marketing hype unsettle you. They’re shouting about expensive tyres that wear out too quickly and puncture easily, like the Grand Prix 5000, or similar tyres. Oh, and by the way: just ride for your own enjoyment and please get rid of your Strava!! Best tip ever.

A very good tyre for a cycle tourist.
The tyre is very easy to fit onto the rim and sits straight straight away. It also runs very smoothly on the road.

Great tyre, rolls nicely

Unbeatable value for money
Really satisfied after 600km of testing, lighter than my old Vitoria rubino pro in 28 despite the fact that these are in 30 (-50gr≃). Will wear over time. But for the price, there's no contest.

Nice wide tyres 32 mm
Was able to fit the 32mm on my Cube Attain SLX 2023 (which originally had 28mm Continental ultra sport III on it). Very happy that these 32mm fit, and they seem to ride very comfortably after 1 ride!

-
Despite being 32mm and cheaper, it’s hardly any slower
-
Long service life
-
The 32mm width offers plenty of comfort
-
No ‘Grand Prix 5000’ status (overrated!)
-
The idea that it’s just a tad slower…?
